Peter C. Suhr is a San Francisco Bay Area native, who has been providing either tax or business law services for over three decades in California.

He graduated from Thomas Aquinas College (Ojai, California) and thereafter obtained a Juris Doctor (law) degree and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Santa Clara University.

In 1986, Peter joined the international accounting and consulting firm Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers). He engaged in tax planning and compliance work for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. He started at C&L because of his recognition that what clients keep is more important than what they make.

After a friend and fellow attorney that had left C&L advised Peter that he should consider a law firm or become a certified public accountant, Peter joined and later became a partner at the national law firm Ropers, Majeski, Kohn, Bentley, Wagner & Kane (now known as Ropers Majeski). Although known for its litigation services, Ropers was interested in developing its business law team. He there provided both business law and litigation services and gained expertise in the area of insurance law.

In 2000, wishing to focus on transactions and non-litigation solutions, Peter joined Doty, Sundheim & Gilmore, a Palo Alto business law firm. His clients included early-stage companies, professionals, community businesses, family businesses, investors, and management personnel that could not receive legal counsel from conflicted corporate counsel.

In 2021, Peter proudly opened the Law Office of Peter C. Suhr. When not working, Peter enjoys hiking and spending time with his family and friends.
